The Denver Broncos doubled up on Arizona State selections by taking cornerback Omar Bolden of in the fourth round of the NFL draft Saturday.

Broncos executive vice president of football operations John Elway called Bolden "a physical cornerback with good cover skills who fits the mentality of our defense" via Twitter.

The 5-foot-10, 195-pound Bolden was mostly a disappointment in his ASU career. He played well over the final five games of his junior season but struggled with coverage through, then missed all of the 2011 season after tearing his ACL in spring ball.

"I'm ready to play and ready to compete," Bolden said Saturday.

Bolden could have returned to the ASU lineup late last season, but with the Sun Devils falling out of contention for a BCS bowl, he elected to continue his rehab and prepare for the combine.

He'll join former ASU QB Brock Osweiler (second-round pick) in Denver.
