ASU women routed by Oregon State

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Ruth Hamblin had 16 points, eight rebounds and seven blocked shots as Oregon State routed No. 20 Arizona State 66-43 on Sunday.

Oregon State (21-9, 13-5 Pac 12) shot 52 percent and made all seven of its throws. Syndey Wiese added 15, Ali Gibson had 13 and Deven Hunter 11 points (4 of 4 field goals, 3 of 3 free throws).

Arizona State (22-8, 11-7) led 17-14 after Deja Mann's jumper with 7:47 left in the first half. But Oregon State responded, scoring the next nine points en route to a 31-23 lead at intermission.

The teams combined for seven points through the first 7:24 of the second half. Oregon State warmed up -- Arizona State did not. A 10-0 run by the Beavers extended their lead to 48-30 with 7:21 left, and the Sun Devils never recovered.

Mann had a team-high 13 points for ASU, which shot 26 percent for the game.

ASU now turns its focus to the Pac-12 Tournament. The Sun Devils beat nine of the 11 teams they faced in conference play. In addition to its fourth-place finish, ASU also posted a pair of wins over Top 25 teams (North Carolina and Syracuse) during non-conference play.

ASU's quarterfinals game against either USC or Arizona on Friday will be televised by Pac-12 Networks at 2:30 p.m.
