ASU volleyball improves to 9-2 with 2 wins

TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona State volleyball team improved to 9-2 with a pair of home-court victories on Friday overa Villanova and UC Riverside.
 
In its first home match of the season, ASU swept Villanova 3-0 by scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-22. Erica Wilson posted a team-high 17 kills. Alexis Pinson (four block assists) and Stephanie Preach (19 digs) led the Sun Devils defensively. Pinson also had nine kills and a .750 hitting percentage.
 
In the nightcap, Arizona State defeated UC Riverside 3-1, with scores of 25-16, 23-25, 25-22 and 25-12. Macey Gardner had 21 kills and a .400 hitting percentage, while Stephanie Preach led the defense with 19 digs.

The Sun Devils have another two matches scheduled for Saturday against Florida Atlantic and Gonzaga.
