ASU, Arizona both land in AP top 25 poll
Arizona State is No. 15 and Arizona is No. 22 in the Associated Press' preseason top 25 poll, released Sunday.
It is the first time Arizona is ranked in the preseason since 1999 and the fifth time both ASU and Arizona are ranked in the preseason.
Ohio State is the first unanimous selection for the No. 1 position in the poll. The Buckeyes received all 61 first-place votes.
The Pac-12 has six teams in the poll, which trails the SEC (eight). Four of the six Pac-12 teams are in the South Division along with the Sun Devils and Wildcats.
ASU will play at home against No.8 USC and at No. 13 UCLA in back-to-back weeks. They also will host No. 7 Oregon and No. 22 Arizona.
As for the Wildcats, they do not play Oregon but will face No. 21 Stanford on the road.
