Texas quarterback David Ash will start on Saturday against Kansas State, coach Mack Brown announced on Friday.
Ash missed last week's loss to Ole Miss with a concussion, and did not attend the game at the advice of doctors.
Ash returned to practice this week, and entered the season as the Big 12's most experienced quarterback. He's completed 39-of-62 passes for 594 yards and six touchdowns with two interceptions in Texas' first two games. He also added 127 rushing yards and a touchdowns.
Receiver Mike Davis, who leads the team with 20 receptions, will be a game-time decision with an ankle injury. He's caught 20 passes for 223 yards and four touchdowns this season.
