After a surprisingly long period of time on the free agent market, former Reds pitcher Bronson Arroyo has signed with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Arroyo, who will turn 37 later this month, signed a deal worth $23.5 million according to ESPN's Buster Olney.

The average of $9.5 million over the next two seasons is less than he made in four of his last five seasons in Cincinnati (per Baseball-Reference.com).
An ultra-durable right-hander, Arroyo started 265 games and won 105 the past eight seasons as a Red. He averaged more than 200 innings per season.
He made more than $16 million last season while going 14-12 with a 3.79 ERA. He struck out 124 and walked 34, the fewest bases on balls he has allowed in any season he started at least 30 games.
