ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Exactly when Arizona coach Sean Miller will get over Saturday night's 64-63 overtime loss to Wisconsin is anyone's guess.
Think about next season? It's way too early to do that.
"It'll take some time for us to get over it," Miller said. "But this year has done nothing but brighten our future."
At this point, it's unclear which players will be a part of the Wildcats' immediate future.
Freshman forward Aaron Gordon, all season considered a likely one-and-done player, said after Saturday night's loss that he isn't sure what he is going to do.
"I have a great family and I have a great foundation," he said. "I'll talk to a few people and see how that goes and make an educated decision."
The 6-foot-9 uber athlete is projected to be a lottery pick.
Gordon has until the early-entry deadline of April 15 to declare, and he's not the only Arizona player with a decision to make, as freshman Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and junior Nick Johnson also could opt for the draft.
Remember, just last year, freshman forward Grant Jerrett surprisingly declared for the draft and was picked in the second round. He's now in the NBA D-League.
Johnson said Saturday night that it was too early to make a decision, although he gave fans some hope by saying he is a "finisher."
He added that he'll talk to his family, Miller and others to get a guage of his NBA stock.
"I'll see what's best for me," he said. "I'm a finisher. I don't like setting my mind to doing something and not doing it. This one definitely hurts. ... I'll make the best decision for myself."
Hollis-Jefferson was similarly indecisive, saying "that's something for me and my family to discuss. We'll handle it that way and handle the process."
Asked what he thought the others would do, Hollis-Jefferson hesitated and then said, "I don't know what they are doing, but if they do come back, we will be a great team. We'll have a lot of depth and be pretty strong."
Regardless of what happens, sophomore guard Gabe York said the team will go back to "square one" in summer workouts, then welcome Arizona's five-man recruiting class, ranked No. 3 in the country and highlighted by Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei guard Stanley Johnson.
"We'll have them step up like the freshmen did this year," York said.
