Arizona soccer shut out by Washington State

PULLMAN, Wash. -- The Arizona women’s soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Washington State Cougars on Sunday.
For Arizona (5-6-3), eight players combined for a total of 11 shot attempts, led by Jazmin Ponce, Ana-Maria Motoya and Ariel Boulicault with two shots apiece. Kristin Strother, Kirstyn Magyar, Shannon Heinzler, Susana Melendez and Hayley Estopare each registered a shot.
Washington State (8-4-1) outshot UA 18-11, putting 12 shots on goal. Rachel Doyle, Brandi Vega and Zoe Jeffers each scored a goal for the Cougars in the victory.
In net, Arizona goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman recorded seven saves while Washington State goalkeeper Ariana Byrd finished with five saves.
