TUCSON, Ariz. – University of Arizona women’s soccer goalkeeper Gabby Kaufman is the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Kaufman recorded three saves in Arizona's 6-0 shutout against UC-Riverside on Friday, then had seven saves in a 0-0 double-overtime tie against Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio.
Kaufman ranks No. 2 among Pac-12 keepers in save percentage with a .882. She’s also second in saves with 15 total and 3.75 per game.
The Wildcats head to Tempe, Ariz. to compete in the Sun Devil Classic, Sept. 6-8. UA will face Kansas on Fri., Sept. 6 at 4:30 p.m. and Illinois on Sun., Sept. 8, at 11 a.m.
