Tell us how you became a FOX Sports Girl
I've always had a love for sports, and especially for my Florida teams. When the opportunity arose to be a Fox Sports Florida Girl, I went for it and auditioned! I didn't hear anything back for months, and thought it was a lost cause. Until I got a call one day for an in-person interview! After a lengthy process, I got the great news that I will be the first Fox Sports Florida Girls along with Jordana!
What has been your favorite experience as a FOX Sports Girl?
Coming from a military family, I always feel honored when given the opportunity to give back to our troops. Picking up troops on the Fan Express to take them to a game is always a treat, but our yearly Spring Training to the Troops trip tops it all. Seeing what it's like in their daily lives has opened my eyes even more to what these men and women do for us. It always feels amazing to bring a little cheer to our military.
What is your favorite sports memory?
Ray Allen's game winning shot against the Spurs in game 6 of the 2013 NBA Playoffs. It was an honor to be there representing Fox and to feel the electric energy in the arena!
For the ultimate sports fan, what are the three things you recommend them to experience in your city?
1. Marlins Park is a great place to visit! It's a state-of-the-art brand new ballpark with so many things to see and awesome South Florida food!
2. Every single Heat home game is like a playoff atmosphere! The high energy will keep you on your feet all night! The AmericanAirlines Arena is a definite must-see.
3. Lightning hockey at the Tampa Bay Times Forum is a great experience. Die hard fans, great energy, and a beautiful arena! Oh and don't forget to check-out the real live lightning bolts!
Who has been the greatest influence on you being a sports fan and why?
My love of sports has been a family affair! My dad had been a Dolphins fan since the Griece era, my grandfather has me in Marlins gear since I was a newborn, and my mom is one of the world's biggest Heat fans!
If you could play any position/role on any team what would it be and why?
I would definitely be the starting point guard for the Miami Heat. To be given the responsibility, and opportunity, to be the primary ball handler for one of the most prolific offenses in the NBA would be incredible.
