Ankle injury sidelines Packers WR Davante Adams for practice

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Davante Adams will miss the Green Bay Packers' light practice Wednesday after the receiver aggravated his left ankle injury on Monday night against Kansas City.
The Packers have a short week with a game Sunday against the 49ers. Coach Mike McCarthy said Adams would rehab instead of practicing Wednesday while the team starts preparations for the trip to San Francisco.
Adams first sprained the ankle two weeks ago during the win over the Seahawks. The second-year wideout hurt the ankle again on the first series of the Chiefs game.
McCarthy said he's trying to be smart with all his injured players after coming off two straight physical contests.
The Packers already know that tight end Andrew Quarless will miss the 49ers game with a sprained left knee.
