SURPRISE, Ariz. (AP) -- Shortstop Elvis Andrus has left the Texas Rangers' game against the San Diego Padres with tightness in his right hip flexor muscle.

Andrus had a run-scoring groundout in the first on Tuesday and played in the field both of the first two innings, recording an assist and a putout.

Andrus is 9 for 32 this spring with two RBIs and a stolen base.
