NEW YORK (AP) Aigue Marine won her final race, beating Danza Cavallo by a neck Saturday in the $200,000 Long Island Handicap for fillies and mares on the turf at Aqueduct.
She saved ground for most of the 1 1/2 miles, hugging the fence with John Velazquez aboard, winning in 2:35.37 on a yielding course.
Aigue Marine paid $15.20, $6 and $4.90. The 5-year-old bred in England and trained by Christophe Clement finished third in the race in 2012 and sixth last year.
Danza Cavallo, a French bred 3-year-old making her U.S. debut for trainer Chad Brown, returned $3.60 and $2.90. Maximova paid $5 to show, giving Clement a 1-3 finish in the stakes.

Aigue Marine will start a broodmare career, finishing with a 5-12 record.
