Texas A&M added its 16th football commitment for the 2012 recruiting class last Thursday.
San Antonio Reagan quarterback Trevor Knight chose the Aggies over Texas Tech and TCU.
Knight, who is considered a three-star prospect by Scout.com, is 6-2, 190 pounds.
"It's a gut feeling," Knight told MySanAntonio.com. "I've been up there three times, and I just saw myself in College Station for four or five years."
As a junior last season, Knight passed for 1,320 yards and rushed for another 1,055 yards, accounting for 23 total touchdowns (11 passing, 12 rushing).
His strengths are considered his accuracy, arm strength and release while his lone weakness is his speed.
Scout.com described Knight by writing: "He has a quick release and throws a pass with some serious zip on it and a tight spiral. He is an average runner at quarterback, he does not have great speed but does a good job of running the ball. Does a great job on the intermediate and short passes, only question is the deep ball."
