Cincinnati guard Sean Kilpatrick was picked for the inaugural American Athletic Conference preseason all-conference team with the Bearcats predicted to finish fourth in the league race.

Kilpatrick, a 6-4, 210-pound senior from Yonkers, N.Y., was a second-team All-Big East pick the last two season after making that league's all-rookie team in 2011.

He was fifth in the Big East in scoring at 17.0 points per game last season.

Kilpatrick is one of only two returning starters for head coach Mick Cronin's Bearcats, who were 22-12 last season and qualified for their third consecutive NCAA Tournament.

AAC coaches voted defending national champion Louisville the favorite to win the conference title this season. The Cardinals received nine of 10 first-place votes while the other went to Connecticut. The Huskies finished second in the voting followed by Memphis.
