You just knew when the NCAA put in a gag order at Georgia that the A.J. Green news was not going to be good. Green has been the subject of an investigation since the summer. He missed the season opener in the hopes that a one-game slap-on-the-wrist would be retroactively applied, and that he would be cleared to play this week against South Carolina.
Unfortunately for the Dawgs, that was not to be. According to a statement put out by Georgia, Mr. Green will be out for four games pending the outcome of the obligatory Hail Mary appeal to the NCAA.
