3rd test: Sohail Khan's twin strike leaves England at 100-3

BIRMINGHAM, England (AP) Pakistan claimed three early wickets as England reached 100-3 at lunch in the third test after captain Misbah-ul-Haq won the toss on Wednesday.

Sohail Khan, returning to test cricket after five years at the expense of Wahab Riaz, removed Alex Hales (17) and in-form Joe Root (3) in successive overs.

Captain Alastair Cook (45) was trapped leg before wicket by Rahat Ali.

Gary Ballance and James Vince, both yet to fire in the four-match series which is currently 1-1, were unbeaten on 18 and 16 respectively.

England made one change and brought in Steven Finn for injured all-rounder Ben Stokes, who will miss the rest of the test series.

Pakistan dropped out-of-form opener Shan Masood for left-handed Sami Aslam.
