One: It might have taken three games, but Columbus is showing signs of getting back to the team they were before the break. Two bad offensive zone penalties and some untimely turnovers gave the Leafs a chance, but not much of one. The Blue Jackets swept the season series over "Les feuilles mortes".
Two: Through patience and controlled play, the Blue Jackets were able to gain the advantage in the second period all the while limiting Toronto to zero shots on goal through almost the first 11 minutes. They were opportunistic and made smart puck decisions for the most part.
Three: Artem Anisimov has come alive since the Olympics, scoring a goal in each of the three games played since the break. He is tenacious like a pitbull in going after the puck. The team would have benefitted from this side of Anisimov for the entire year.
Overtime: Although they lost rookie defenseman Ryan Murray to an injury at the end of the first period, the rest of the defensive corps stepped up, in a big way. The forwards also played a good, sound two-way game. Columbus can ill-afford to lose the kid for an extended period of time, as he's played in every game this season.
