2nd ODI goes to last over as NZ beats India by 6 runs

NEW DELHI (AP) India narrowly failed in the last over as New Zealand won the second one-day international on Thursday by six runs to level the five-match series at 1-1.

Chasing 243 to win, India was bowled out for 236 in 49.3 overs with Kedar Jadhav scoring 41, including two fours and two sixes. MS Dhoni struck 39.

Earlier, Kane Williamson scored his eighth ODI century as New Zealand finished on 242-9. He hit 118 runs off 128 balls, with 14 fours and a six, after the Black Caps had been put into bat.

India won the first ODI by six wickets.

The third ODI is in Mohali on Sunday.
