The DQ BIG GAME OF THE WEEK, one of the most popular features of FOX Sports Southwest’s Friday night high school football coverage, returns in 2017 for its 15th season.
The 2017 season schedule was announced today at the Texas High School Coaches Association’s annual Coaching School and Convention in Houston.
Beginning with Week One on September 1 and continuing through the end of the regular season, FOX Sports Southwest reporter Neil Beasley and a camera crew will travel to one of the state’s most prominent games and capture the “big game” atmosphere around town.
The behind-the-scenes DQ BIG GAME OF THE WEEK segment highlights the passion of Friday night high school football in Texas and will be shown each week on HIGH SCHOOL SCOREBOARD LIVE Fridays at 11:00 p.m. CT (replayed Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. CT) and on HIGH SCHOOL SPOTLIGHT Sundays at 10:30 p.m. CT (replayed Mondays at 3:30 p.m. CT).
Beasley and crew will attend school pep rallies, visit the local Dairy Queen, and take viewers on campus, around the community, and inside the locker room for an intimate look at high school football in Texas.
The final game of the regular season will be selected by the fans through a vote hosted on www.FoxSportsSouthwest.com.
