On Friday, July 25th, over 1,000 at-risk Ohio youth attended the 2014 After-School All-Stars Live Fit Challenge at the French Field House on The Ohio State University campus. Children ages 5-14 attended the one-day fitness-centered event. As a partner of After-School All-Stars, FOX Sports Ohio was there as well. The goal of this annual event is to give kids the opportunity to take charge of their own health, stand against childhood obesity and be an advocate for their generation's well-being.

FOX Sports Ohio Girl Sara served as a master of ceremonies for the event and kicked things off by singing the national anthem.  The rules of the day were simple: be respectful, be safe and be healthy.  The children had the opportunity to participate in three of the 18 stations. Each station offered a different activity, from running or tumbling to dancing or fencing, to make fitness fun and encourage kids to be healthy.

A group from FOX Sports Ohio led a yoga clinic, in which approximately ## kids gladly participated. FOX Sports Ohio Girl Kristine along with marketing and sales coordinator Jackie Bryant taught the children ten basic yoga positions. After the kids showed basic understanding of each position, they were put to the test with a fast-paced game of "Simon Says."

First Lady of Ohio Karen W. Kasich addressed the kids and encouraged everyone to take back home all that they learned about nutrition and exercise to continue these healthy living practices.
