OKTC Final Predictions:
Eddie Goldman - Florida State - After flirting with multiple teams, including SEC powers Alabama and Auburn, we expect Goldman to pick the 'Noles. He seemed to sour on FSU midway through the process, but to Jimbo Fisher's credit, they kept recruiting him and it will be mildly surprising if he goes elsewhere.
Dorial Green-Beckham - Missouri - The nation's top recruit seemed destined to head out of state to either Arkansas or Texas, but late momentum rests squarely with the Tigers.
Kwon Alexander - LSU - Alexander has full scholarship offers from LSU and Auburn, and a conditional greyshirt (deferred enrollment) offer from Alabama. At this point, we expect him to declare for LSU, but staying in state wouldn't be a shocker.
Avery Young - Georgia - Both Auburn and Florida are in play for Young, and with Georgia's already stacked OL class, Young may opt for less competition. It's legitimately too close to call, but we'll pick the Dawgs.
Stefon Diggs - Florida - A last-minute visit to Ohio State gave Diggs something to think about, but he should still stick with the Gators.
Josh Harvey-Clemons - Georgia - The three big names in the Sunshine State are all vying for his signature, but Harvey-Clemons will likely lean to UGA on NSD. Florida and Florida State are serious contenders, though.
Tracy Howard - Miami - It's been an up-and-down process for the star corner, but we expect the 'Canes to narrowly edge out Florida.
Leonard Williams - Southern Cal - Auburn and Miami lost ground late here, and it's more than likely down to USC or Florida.
Dalvin Tomlinson - Alabama - The big defensive tackle is the final piece to the Tide's recruiting class, but Georgia Tech is a serious option. Right now, we'd lean to Alabama at 51%, but this one could go either way. If he picks the 'Jackets, it may open a door for Alabama to pursue one more player after NSD.
...
We'll update here all day long and by the afternoon we'll give you a 1-14 ranking of the 2012 SEC signing classes.
1:00 p.m. UPDATE:
**The day wasn't a total loss for Auburn, who just got the good news that OT Avery Young has signed with the Tigers. He had considered Georgia and Florida, as well.
**The Tigers have also signed Ricardo Louis. The standout WR had gone back and forth between Auburn and FSU. Good pickup who was committed to the Tigers for a while before having cold feet in recent days.
**Landon Collins, who has had a drama-filled recruitment over the past month to say the least, has officially signed with Alabama as expected.
11:20 a.m. UPDATE:
**Nelson Agholor has picked the USC Trojans along with standout DL Leonard WIlliams. Both had considered a number of SEC schools throughout the process.
**Casey Gladney, a former Alabama commit, has switched his pledge to Texas Tech.
10:20 a.m. UPDATE:
**Also, in the "not surprising at all" department, mammoth DT Eddie Goldman picked FSU over offers from Alabama, Auburn, and the rest of the free world. Great pickup for FSU, who was the frontrunner from Day One, it seemed.
**Thomas Johnson sticking with Texas A&M as expected is a welcome sign for the Aggies. Very nice prospect.
10:05 a.m. UPDATE:
**As we predicted, Kwon Alexander (Oxford, Ala.) picks LSU over a greyshirt offer from Alabama. Nice get for the Tigers. Very athletic OLB prospect. Trae Elston, Alexander's HS teammate, inks with Ole Miss.
9:55 a.m. UPDATE:
**Beniquez Brown, an OLB prospect out of Florence Alabama, has signed with Mississippi State. He had looked at Auburn and Tennessee, as well.
9:50 a.m. UPDATE:
**Amos Leggett - who had been considering Tennessee - picks Marshall. Josh Dawson officially signs with Georgia after flipping his commitment from Vanderbilt.
9:25 a.m. UPDATE:
**Want instant relevance in the SEC? Land the nation's No. 1 prospect. That's what conference newcomer Missouri just did when it got a pledge from super-WR Dorial Green-Beckham. Absolutely massive player who is one of the best receiving prospects in the HS ranks in years.
9:20 a.m. UPDATE:
**Blue chip DL Dante Fowler has flipped from FSU to Florida. This is a major move, and Fowler is a fantastic addition to the Gators' class of 2012.
9:00 a.m. UPDATE:
**Tracy Howard has selected Miami over a number of other programs in the South.
8:30 a.m. UPDATE:
**More big commits in the SEC as Josh Harvey-Clemons selects the Georgia Bulldogs. Alabama picks up its second big DL commitment of the day from Atlanta-area monster Dalvin Tomlinson. Auburn flips UCF QB commit Johnathan Wallace from nearby Phenix City and receives his letter of intent. The Tigers of Auburn also look to keep WR Jaquay Williams in the fold. It had been rumored late last night that he might stick with UGA after changing his mind multiple times recently.
7:35 a.m. UPDATE:
**A bit of surprising news as reports are surfacing that Georgia RB Justin Taylor has signed with Kentucky. The former Alabama pledge had recently had his offer from the Tide downgraded a bit to a deferred enrollment option (greyshirt.) It was assumed he'd choose that route or sign with Ole Miss. If true, somewhat of a miss by the Rebels and a nice gift for UK.
7:20 a.m. UPDATE:
**Big news already in the SEC as the Tennessee Vols landed JUCO WR Cordarrelle Patterson early this morning. The big target will bolster UT's already-solid receiving corps. Patterson gives the Vols a major bump on NSD.
**Alabama landed Virginia defensive lineman Korren Kirven over Virginia Tech and Tennessee. DT is a position of need for the Tide, and Kirven comes as somewhat of a surprise as he recently favored the Vols and Hokies. Rumblings began yesterday that he'd commit to Alabama, but this one went down to the wire.
