Pac-12 commissioner Larry Scott visits with Matt this week to discuss the state of the conference and its future, the Pac-12 TV Network, the ongoing investigation of Mike Leach at Washington State and why the growth of college football and basketball will continue.

Among his observations:

On the direction of the conference: "I am thrilled where we are. We've made a tremendous amount of progress over the last couple of years on a lot of levels."

On conference expansion hurting rivalries and tradition in college football: "It's a very delicate balancing act, and I think you have to mindful of it. Traditions are one of the great differentiating factors of college football vs. the NFL."

Thoughts on Rich Rodriguez and Todd Graham: "Nice to see both those coaches have an immediate, positive impact on their program and (to) see the two Arizona schools be bowl eligible in the first year of new coaches I think is very encouraging."
