Dick Tomey, former Arizona Wildcats football coach, talks with Matt this week about his upcoming role in Friday's Casino Del Sol college football All-Star game. He also discusses the state of Arizona's football program and why he believes the school is finally committed to winning, offers a thought on the tough competition in the Pac-12 and comments on what needs to change with the culture of football to improve the health of the players.

Among his observations:

On Rich Rodriguez's first year with Arizona: "There are many, many good things to come, but I think to have eight wins in a first season is a big first year for a new coach."

On ASU's coach Todd Graham: "He did a great job. I think Arizona has two established head football coaches at the two institutions, and I think that should make for a lot of outstanding recruiting battles and battles on the field."

On the future of Pac-12 football: "I think the Pac-12 in years to come may be the best conference in the country."
