Watch Chad Johnson's daughter dominate to win gold at Junior Olympics
Chad Johnson may not be the best athlete in his family for very long. If he still is at all.
The former All-Pro receiver's 11-year-old daughter Cha'iel (SHY-el) dominated the field Wednesday to win the 800 meters at the Junior Olympics finals in Houston for the second straight year. She'll run the 400 final Thursday.
Johnson, who last played in the CFL in 2015, has been coaching receivers at the Cleveland Browns' training camp. Earlier this week, he left camp and said he'd flown to Houston to see Cha'iel and let her know he wouldn't be there to watch her race all week.
"I had to explain to her, 'You've got to go out there and run well and be able to do so without me being here because I have to be in Cleveland,''' he told Cleveland.com. "That's something I needed to be able to tell my daughter face to face, not over the phone, not via text, and she has to understand that daddy has to work. She's one of the fastest in the world, and it would kill her for me not to be there.''
As it turns out, he was there Wednesday, arriving just in time.

Then he celebrated the passing of the baton to his daughter, in typical Ocho fashion.
