PARK CITY, Utah (AP) The U.S. Ski Team has brought on board Paul Kristofic as the women's head coach after he spent two decades with Alpine Canada.

It was a position that was left vacant last season once Alex Hoedlmoser moved over to oversee the men's speed team.

Kristofic spent 21 years with Alpine Canada, including 18 years as a coach and three more as Vice President of Sports, where he managed the alpine, skicross and para-Alpine squads.

He becomes the latest addition to the U.S. women's team. Alberto Senigagliesi was recently named speed coach and Brandon Dyksterhouse the leader of the technical side.

Alpine director Patrick Riml said Kristofic brings ''strong leadership to oversee our women's program and continue to build on the success we've seen in recent years.''

Kristofic starts June 1.
