Simone Biles says she's planning to return to the 2020 Tokyo Olympics
Watch out Tokyo. Simone Biles has her eyes on you.
The four-time Olympic champion — one of the most dominant gymnasts in the history of the sport — said she is planning to compete at the next Summer Games in Tokyo in four years.
“I’ll take some time off first but then I’ll get back at it and try for 2020,” Biles told USA Today Sports Wednesday during the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions.
“I’ll take maybe a year off because there’s no way I can do everything that I’m doing as well as commit to training 100 percent.”
Biles emerged as one of the Rio Olympics' biggest stars last summer, winning four golds (including the individual all-around) and a bronze and serving as U.S.A.'s flag bearer during the Closing Ceremony.
And the 19-year-old may have a chance to compete both with and against Final Five teammate Aly Raisman, who also said she was planning a Tokyo 2020 bid after taking a year off.
