Olympian John Orozco has been named to the U.S. men's team for next month's world gymnastics championships, replacing Danell Leyva.

Orozco finished fourth at the U.S. gymnastics championships last weekend, his first major competition since surgery to repair a torn ACL in his left knee last October. But he was passed over for the world team in favor of Leyva, the bronze medalist in the all-around at last summer's London Olympics. Leyva withdrew from the team Monday because of a shoulder injury.

Orozco joins new national champion Sam Mikulak, fellow Olympian Jake Dalton, Steve Legendre, Alex Naddour and Brandon Wynn on the team for worlds, which begin Sept. 30 in Antwerp, Belgium. This will be Orozco's second appearance at the world championships.
