The International Paralympic Committee has banned Iraqi powerlifter Rasool Mohsin from competition for two years for a doping offense at the Powerlifting Open International Championships.

The IPC said Wednesday that Mohsin tested positive for methylhexaneamine following a urine test at the championships in Amman, Jordan, on July 23.

Methylhexaneamine is banned as a stimulant under the World Anti-Doping Agency's 2011 prohibited list.

Mohsin was also fined $1,975 for the offense.
