IOC fills two key positions
The International Olympic Committee has hired a new chief financial officer and a director of international cooperation.
The IOC says Dr. Lana Haddad, an Iraqi and British national, will begin her role as financial officer in March 2014.
She is currently an associate director at Procter & Gamble International, where she has worked for 19 years.
The IOC says Haddad ''brings a wealth of expertise in financial control and reporting, financial planning, audit, compliance, treasury and cash management.''
Lindsay Glassco, a Canadian, was appointed director of international cooperation and development.
She is currently president and CEO of Special Olympics Canada, which oversees programs for people with intellectual disabilities.
She will take over in January from Tomas Sithole, who retires at the end of the year.
