A trio of former Olympians who combined to win 10 gold medals are getting their own Wheaties boxes decades later.
In a documentary that aired on HBO last year, Louganis mentioned that he never received the honor despite being one of the most successful American Olympians in the '80s, and reasoned that homophobia contributed to the snub.

After seeing the documentary, viewer Julie Sondgerath started a Change.org petition for Louganis to be put on a Wheaties box cover - which was signed by more than 41,000 people - and delivered the signatures to General Mills herself.
On Tuesday, Wheaties revealed three new boxes featuring Louganis, swimmer Janet Evans and hurdler Edwin Moses.
Louganis told the New York Times that he isn't holding the box-cover snub against General Mills.
