The first test event for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics has been postponed due to heavy snowfall.
A men's downhill race on the second-tier Europa Cup circuit had been scheduled to take place Thursday at the newly built Rosa Khutor ski resort.
However, Sochi organizers have moved the event to Friday as a precautionary measure following heavy snow this week at the main Alpine venue for the games.
The downhill and super-G will now both be held on the same day.
