Olympian Lolo Jones has put an early end to her track-and-field season.

The 32-year-old hurdler and bobsled star announced on her Facebook page that her Winter Olympics stint as a bobsledder had left her "emotionally drained" and that she would skip her last three hurdling races in Europe.

Jones became one of just a handful of athletes who have competed at both the Summer and Winter Games when she joined the U.S. Olympic bobsledding team after placing a disappointing fourth in the 100m hurdles at the 2012 London Summer Games. But Jones' quest to earn an Olympic medal continued to elude her when she and her boblsed teammate Jazmine Fenlator finished in 11th place at Sochi earlier this year.

Since then, Jones has gotten back into track-and-field shape, shedding 20 pounds and running a season-best 12.55 seconds in the 100m hurdles, making her the fourth-fastest woman in the world so far this year.

The popular athlete was hazy on whether she would continue pursuing bobsledding, and it appears from her announcement that Jones will refocus her efforts singularly to the running track -- and perhaps the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics -- when she resumes her training in November.
