LA PLAGNE, France (AP) Martins Dukurs of Latvia posted his fifth victory of the season in the skeleton World Cup to win a sixth straight European title on Friday.
Dukurs, a silver medalist at the 2010 and 2014 Olympics, won 0.40 seconds ahead of Olympic champion Alexander Tretyakov after difficult track conditions led to the cancellation of the second run in the French Alps resort.
The race, the sixth round of the World Cup, also counted as the European championship.
Tomass Dukurs, Martins' brother, was third, 0.87 seconds back.
