The British government has announced flight restrictions over the Olympic site during the 2012 London Games.
Transport Minister Theresa Villiers says only commercial flights that have been subject to full security procedures will be able to fly through the zone around the Olympic Park in east London.
She said Monday that some restrictions would also apply to an outer zone, about 60 miles wide, but all London-area airports are expected to remain open.
Villiers says the measures are similar to restrictions imposed during previous Olympics. They are expected to be in place between July 13 and Sept. 12 2012, covering the Olympics and Paralympics.
