INNSBRUCK, Austria (AP) Austrian skier Hannes Reichelt is planning to compete in a World Cup downhill on Saturday, a week after sustaining bruises and a mild concussion in a crash at the classic race in Kitzbuehel.

The super-G world champion says he will take part in Thursday's first training in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, to see how his hurt left knee holds up.

Reichelt says ''it's kind of a wonder, I've been very lucky.''

The 35-year-old Austrian was one of three racers who crashed badly in the downhill on the Streif, which was called off after 30 starters because of poor weather last Saturday.

Overall World Cup leader Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway and Reichelt's Austrian teammate Georg Streitberger crashed at the same spot and needed knee surgery, ruling them both out for the season.
