All you need to know about the Quaker State 400 at Kentucky

Another damp weekend and a new aerodynamic package have put Sprint Cup teams on their toes at Kentucky Speedway. Wet weather forced NASCAR to cancel qualifying early on Friday, giving Kyle Larson the pole for the Quaker State 400 with Brad Keselowski slated to start second.
This marks the first time Sprint Cup teams will run the new aerodynamic package, but teams have not had as much practice as originally planned. The new package includes a splitter with 1.75 inches less of an overhang, a 25-inch wide front radiator pan and a smaller 3.5-inch rear spoiler, down from six inches.
NASCAR originally planned on a test session for the new rules package on Wednesday, but rain put a halt to all on-track activity. Efforts to get on track on Thursday were also thwarted with rain, leaving many crew chiefs and drivers scratching their heads.
While the series chased weather throughout much of the week, NASCAR was able to get a short practice session in Friday morning before rain returned to the track. After extensive track-drying efforts, NASCAR was able to get in roughly 95 minutes of final practice prior to the XFINITY Series race. Much like the first practice, Larson and Keselowski topped the charts.
The best news of the weekend? The weather is looking pretty good for Saturday night's race.
