Watch as F1 car takes to busy city streets in England
Manchester is one of the most populous urban areas in England… and also home to the Manchester United soccer team (you may have heard of them).
Therefore, as is the case with any major city, traffic can get a bit chaotic.
However, that didn’t stop Team Betsafe from taking its Betsafe BGF1 car to the streets of Manchester in order to show off its 2016 Gumball 3000 entry.
The Gumball 3000 is an annual 3,000-mile international street race rallycontested between various celebrities. This year’s running will go from Dublin, Ireland, to Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and will pass through cities such as Manchester.
While the team’s entry isn’t a straight-off-the-track F1 car, it does feature the Ferrari F1 team’s 2009 engine, a KERS system, a Sauber F1 steering wheel, and 630 horsepower. It is also capable of going from 0-60 mph in 2.0 seconds.
While the Betsafe BGF1 will not compete in the whole rally, it will be on the road at select stages throughout the event.
And no, we have no idea if any of this was legal or not.
