Watch and listen to the new Ford GT race car turn laps at Sebring
The new Ford GT took part in its second U.S. test last weekend at Sebring International Raceway, with Multimatic development drivers Scott Maxwell and Billy Johnson at the wheel of what appears to be a second chassis.
The multi-day test at the Florida airfield circuit came on the heels of a test at Road America last month, as the Detroit manufacturer continues preparations for a dual-championship attack in next year's WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship with Chip Ganassi Racing.
While all of the testing has been undertaken by Multimatic to date, it's understood Ganassi is expected to take delivery of its first chassis later this month.
Drivers have yet to be announced for the program, although it's most certainly to include Scott Pruett and Joey Hand, Ganassi's current Prototype drivers in the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.
