Watch a Lamborghini Huracan run a quarter-mile in 7.8s
Lamborghini tuning company UNDERGROUND RACING just ran a Huracan down the drag strip in 7.8 seconds.
That is a full half-second quicker than the record for the manufacturer, which had been set just one week ago when a Huracan tuned by Heffner Performance ran an 8.3 second pass.
Underground Racing’s feat was made possible thanks to two turbos and a 10 plate clutch which, along with additional modifications and tuning, saw 1,800 horsepower at the wheels.
The run - at 7.807 seconds and 187.8 mph to be precise - is the first time a Lamborghini has broke into the 7’s.
Before Heffner Performance’s pass, this Lamborghini had also set the record last week at 8.5 seconds. With the record being reset three times in the past week, we’re excited to see just how much lower it can go.
