#SXonFOX: Dungey looking for four-in-a-row as field heads to Glendale

BY Samuel Reiman • February 5, 2016

The stars of Monster Energy Supercross continue their grueling season this weekend as they head to Glendale, Arizona for the series’ inaugural visit to the University of Phoenix Stadium, after 17 seasons of racing in Phoenix’s Chase Field.

The event will be shown LIVE at 9 p.m. ET Saturday night on FS2 and the FOX Sports GO app, with repeats airing on FS1 at 2 a.m. ET Sunday morning, 7:30 p.m. ET Sunday night and 9 p.m. ET Monday night.

Additionally, you can watch the Race Day Live Supercross pre-race show beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET on Saturday:

While the first four events have already taken their toll on many of the riders, with several – including James Stewart – set to miss the event at Glendale, Ryan Dungey is on a role. The defending champion was the fastest qualifier, winner of his heat, winner of the holeshot and winner of the 450SX Main last weekend at O.co Coliseum. The Red Bull KTM rider has finished on the podium in the last 450SX Main Events.

One rider moving up in the 450SX points is Ken Roczen who, after a rough start to the season, has finished on the podium for the past two events. Also on the podium last week was Dungey’s teammate Marvin Musquin, who moved up to seventh in the points.

Meanwhile in 250SX, the dominant rider of the season no longer finds himself in the points lead after a mechanical failure in Oakland ended Cooper Webb’s seven-race long winning streak. Taking advantage of the situation, Joey Savatgy broke through to become the 100th different winner in 250SX Class history and take over the points lead.
