There could be bumping at Indianapolis this weekend.
Schmidt Peterson Motorsports said Saturday afternoon that it has hired British driver Katherine Legge to drive the No. 81 car.
That gives Indianapolis 500 organizers 34 driver-car combinations -- one more than it takes to fill the 33-car starting grid for the May 26 race -- and means if there are no crashes at least one driver will be left out of the race.
Legge, who started 30th and finished 22nd last year as a rookie at Indy, has not yet been on the 2.5-mile oval for practice.

The top 24 starting spots are expected to be filled during Saturday's qualifying. The remaining nine spots are expected to be filled Sunday.
