Ken Roczen won the 450 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship after last weekend's finale at Miller Motorsports Park.
Roczen entered the round with a healthy points lead over Red Bull KTM Factory teammate Ryan Dungey. The pair battled it out on-track for a large portion of the event, but ultimately Roczen's third and fourth place finishes were enough to give the German fourth overall and his first Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
"I think I rode as slow as I do on the parade lap on the final lap of the race," said Roczen. "I was just so excited and nervous at the same time and couldn't actually push any faster and just wanted to cross the line to earn the championship. I am so thankful to my family, friends and my team for their dedication to help me achieve this goal. I am so happy."
Ken Roczen finished the championship with 532 points - 14 more than his closest rival and teammate Ryan Dungey. Trey Canard was third with 468 points.
Roczen and Dungey's rankings resulted in the first time KTM has seen its riders score a 1-2 points finish in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship.
