My First Time: Simona reveals she beat Buemi in first kart race
The start of Simona de Silvestro’s Formula E career hasn’t gone to plan as, in her first six races, she has failed to score a point – although she has came close with two 11th-place finishes (Formula E pays points down to 10th).
However, while Sebastien Buemi seems to be dominating the early part of the season – with 2 wins, a second (after starting from the back) and a 12th after he had broke down from the lead, the Iron Maiden reveals that she once beat her Swiss compatriot in her first ever go-kart race.
The revelation comes as part of FIA Formula E Championship’s YouTube series “My First Time!” which has also featured interviews with Oliver Rowland, Antonio Felix da Costa, Jann Mardenborough and Daniel Abt.
De Silvestro is also asked about her first day at school, first best friend, first time behind the wheel of a kart and a car, first car she owned, first major accident and – of course – her first celebrity crush.
