During the inaugural season of the FIA Formula E series, all of the teams ran identical cars and used the same powertrain, which ultimately meant that all of the cars sounded the same.
However, heading into the series’ second season, the manufacturers have now taken the reigns in powertrain development. As a result, the 10 teams will now be powered by all-new, separate powertrains. The two exceptions are Dragon Racing, which will share Venturi’s new powertrain, and Team Aguri, which will use the SRT01-e powertrain that each team used in season one. Consequently, each team will now have its own distinct sound.
Which do you think sounds the best?
