Following more than a year of development, the Glickenhaus SCG003C has officially broken cover, with the radical GT supercar set for its debut in this year’s Nürburgring 24.
Conceived by American James Glickenhaus, Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus has revealed both the race and road-going versions of the SCG003, which will officially premiere at the Geneva Motor Show next week.
The carbon-fiber tubbed car, designed by a team in Italy, which included Peugeot 908 architect Paolo Catone, is powered by a Honda-based 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6.
It will compete in this year’s Nürburgring 24 in an experimental class as a two-car effort with Marino Franchitti, Franck Mailleux, Nicola Larini, Maule Lauck and other drivers that are yet-to-be-announced.
There are also plans for the supercar to tackle the Total 24 Hours of Spa in July, although it’s unclear where it would fit into the regulations of the SRO Motorsports Group-organized race, which doubles as a round of the Blancpain Endurance Series.
The manufacturer has also taken the wraps off its road-going variant, the SCG003S, which is expected to be delivered to customers by the end of this year.
