F1: McLaren-Honda makes progress in Tuesday test

McLaren and Honda enjoyed a more encouraging day in Jerez on Tuesday, despite engine issues bringing proceedings to a premature halt halfway through.
The car had run only six laps on Sunday and again on Monday – without recording a representative time – but this morning Fernando Alonso was able to log 32 laps before he was forced to stop. The track was damp for much of his running, so his ultimate lap times meant little.

Jenson Button will take over the car once more for the final day of running in Jerez on Wednesday.
