The World Series by Renault is in action at Silverstone this weekend, where two large crashes took place on the opening lap, the second of which sent a car airborne.
The first crash involved Jehan Daruvala, who was spun off by another car and landed upside-down on top of a tire barrier but was able to walk away.
The two drivers taken out in the second crash, teammates Ben Barnicoat and Ferdinand Habsburg, were also able to escape from their cars, although reports are that Habsburg, the driver who was sent airborne, was taken to the medics on a stretcher.

The race was red flagged, but then was later restarted once the debris has been cleared up.
