Stefan Bradl and LCR Honda will part ways at the end of the 2014 MotoGP season, with Bradl electing to switch to the Yamaha-backed NGM Forward Racing squad in 2015.

24-year-old Bradl has been with LCR Honda since entering the premier class in 2012 as the reigning Moto2 champion but now jumps to Yamaha as he continues to pursue his first-career victory.

Although Bradl has been unable to build upon his debut pole and podium in last year's race at Laguna Seca, the German rider has shown speed and moments of brilliance with two front-row starts in 2014.

"We believe that Stefan is a strong rider, that our package will suit his riding style very well and we look forward to start this new cooperation," said team owner Giovanni Cuzari. "Moreover, Germany represents an important market and it's important to have a strong German rider in our lineup."

It's unclear who will line up alongside Bradl at Forwarding Racing as American rider Colin Edwards is retiring at the end of the season and Aleix Espargaro has yet to confirm his 2015 plans. The young Spaniard has been linked with Suzuki's new MotoGP program after several impressive outings on the 'Open' Forward Racing Yamaha.
