1,200-horsepower Bugatti Veyron hits 246.4 mph on public road (VIDEO)
A Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has been captured on video running 246.4mph at the 2014 Sun Valley Road Rally.
The Veyron has a record speed of 267.8mph on a closed test course in the past, yet this run was unique due to the fact it was ran on a public road - in a top-speed test that takes place on Highway 75 in Ketchum, Idaho each year (while the road is closed to the public of course).
This Veyron is one of 30 Super Sport Veyrons to be built, cranking out near to 1,200 horsepower, as opposed to the standard model's 1,001 horsepower.
The quad turbocharged vehicle, recognized as the fastest production car in the world, unsurprisingly broke the top speed record held in the six years of the Sun Valley Road Rally with this run.
